Client Spotlight: Renewed Strength Fitness

bookkeeping for fitness businesses

Not only do we enjoy bookkeeping for software development companies, but also Group 1826 enjoys helping others in bookkeeping for fitness businesses. Please read about one of our amazing clients who has a fitness business truly meant to build others up and reach out to the community.

Meet Rebecca – Rebecca is the co-owner of Renewed Strength Fitness (RSF), a CrossFit gym located at 709 Technology Circle in Midland, Texas. After working for large gym corporations that prioritized profit over people, Rebecca decided it was time to do things differently. She had a vision to create a gym that puts members’ goals first. As a result, Rebecca founded RSF to ensure everyone feels supported, valued, and inspired in a loving community.

What are some of your proudest moments within your business?

“One of my proudest moments is celebrating our clients’ achievements at RSF. I am so fulfilled as I watch them reach their goals. Another huge milestone was when RSF became my full-time focus. This took a lot of courage and hard work. Over time, the gym grew enough for me to hire employees. Most recently, my husband and I moved to Colorado, and I’m thrilled that RSF continues to thrive under an amazing team. I am so proud seeing the business run smoothly from afar.”

How do you stay connected to the community?

“At RSF, we focus on helping Midland and West Texas embrace healthy, active lifestyles. To do this, we welcome everyone, no matter their fitness level. In addition, we host events to support causes like local police initiatives, breast cancer awareness, and the Salvation Army. Through these, we not only build connections,  but we are also able to give back to the community. Giving back is one of the most rewarding parts of running RSF.”

What advice would you give to new business owners?

“My advice is to always know your worth. Equally important is to be prepared to work 80 hours a week for yourself so you don’t have to work 40 hours a week for someone else. Building a business is hard, but the freedom and rewards make it worthwhile.”

What’s next for RSF?

“This summer, we’re thrilled to expand into a new 16,000-square-foot facility. As a result, this expansion creates room for a cycle studio, HIIT and yoga studios, a state-of-the-art bouldering wall, pickleball courts, and plenty of traditional gym equipment for customers to utilize. We hope to foster an even stronger sense of community and encourage more people in Midland and Odessa to stay active and healthy in unique ways.”

How has Group 1826 helped with your bookkeeping as a fitness business?

When I was handling the books on my own it was tough; I struggled to keep our finances accurate and useful. Jeff from Group 1826 walked me through setting up QuickBooks, giving me the clarity I needed to understand our ‘true numbers’ and make informed decisions. Their expertise in bookkeeping for fitness businesses allowed me to focus on growing RSF while they handled the financial side of things.”
